Est. 2009 — Los Angeles, California

Eighteen years of
new media storytelling.

New Media Film Festival is an independently run festival based in Los Angeles, built for filmmakers who work at the edge of technology and narrative — from experimental formats to emerging platforms.

About the Festival

A Los Angeles festival built for what's next.

Since 2009, New Media Film Festival has given a stage to filmmakers pushing past traditional formats — work built with new technology, new distribution models, and new ways of telling a story. We're proudly based in Los Angeles, and independently run.

Every year we bring together filmmakers, cinephiles, and industry professionals for screenings, panels, and premieres that celebrate where the art form is headed next.

Note: New Media Film Festival is a separate, independently operated festival and is not affiliated with Film Independent's LA Film Festival.
